Elsie was the second daughter of Henry John and Annie Burston. Elsie did not marry. She lived with her sister and brother-in-law, George and Lizzie Dodd, in Godley Lane, Dilhorne, Staffordshire. In later life she went to live at Foxearths Nursing Home, Spot Acre near Meir Heath. She died there in 1994 aged 88 years.
