In 1911 Reginald aged 20 was a Law Clerk living with his widowed father William and the family at Victoria Cottages, Kingsley Moor, Staffordshire. Reginald was known as Uncle Rex to the family. During the first World War, Rex was a Lance Corporal in the 3rd South Staffordshire Regiment.
