Alice was a Doctor's Receptionist in Hanley. Alice married Ernest Brayford in 1921. In the church magazine, she was referred to as Miss Alice Daniels generally known as Miss Madeley. I was really pleased when I sorted the two surnames out. I have lots of certificates and censuses where the family are using either name, which I now know was due to Elizabeth Daniels second marriage in 1847.
