Thomas was the son of William (a Coal Miner) and Phoebe Forrester of Kingsley Brook,Staffordshire. In 1855 Thomas aged 47, died from his injuries, 9 days after an explosion at the Homer Pit,Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, Thomas's brother Edward aged 39 was killed in the explosion and Thomas's son William aged 18 was injured, but survived.
