Notes:

Emma was the first of two children born to Michael and Ellen Salt nee Tipper. Emma married George Bentley at Cheadle in 1839.I have them with their children on the 1861 census for Cheadle.On the 1871 and 1881 census, Emma and the children are still in Cheadle but George is not with them. It does state that she is a married woman not a widow. I have found a George in the Workhouse in Stoke-on- Trent in 1881 who was born in Leigh in 1817. I wonder if this is him.
